The Directors

Siblings Mickela Hall-Ramsay and Christian Hall-Ramsay are the directors of the multi-award winning social enterprise, HR Sports Academy.

Founder, Mickela Hall-Ramsay created the company having achieved a first-class honours degree in Sports Science and Masters in Sport Management. Her passion for developing young people intensified during her time at university, where she focused on the impact sports has on positive youth development. The sudden death of her sister, the rise in youth gun and knife crime, her experiences, ambition, and dedication to hard work culminated in the birth of her company in 2008 and its registration as a Community Interest Company in 2010.

Chris Hall-Ramsay at the age of 19 Chris was an Equipment Team Leader coordinating and accounting for all football equipment at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG). He was later head hunted for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014, instead he choose to use the knowledge gained from his 2012 experience to help develop the family business. In 2015, Chris founded the award winning HR United (HRU) Football Club (FC).

Mickela and Christian’s sister was born with Down syndrome. Following her death they were motivated to help others realise how valuable their life is, their potential and to live without limit. Both are extremely passionate about sport and using it as a catalyst for positive youth development and success, as it had done wonders for them.

HR Sports Academy is dedicated to building a brighter future for disadvantaged children and young people. The company delivers a range of activities/opportunities directly and indirectly related to sport to help disadvantaged individuals acquire skills which will allow them to positively develop and succeed in life.
